Clinton In Hot Water For Insulting Comment About Trump, U.S. Army Parade
Hillary Clinton’s attempt to mock President Trump’s military parade commemorating the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary was met with backlash on social media, as critics accused her of displaying “utter contempt” for the military.
Moreover, numerous users highlighted that she spent the weekend enjoying luxury in the Hamptons at her longtime aide’s wedding while publicly criticizing the commander-in-chief.
Clinton posted side-by-side images of Trump’s military parade on Washington’s Constitution Avenue on Saturday evening. Nationwide, protesters organized “No Kings Day” demonstrations to oppose the parade and to protest the administration’s ongoing deportation raids in liberal cities.
“Compare and contrast scenes from yesterday in America,” Clinton stated in an X post on Sunday, where she disabled responses. “On one side, Trump’s low-energy Dear Leader parade (which cost you $45 million). On the other, millions of individuals across the nation gathering peacefully to declare: Here, we have no kings.”
Her post included images of protests in Los Angeles and Houston, alongside two snapshots from the parade: one depicting a military flyover above the Washington Monument and another showing spectators as tanks rolled down the avenue.
The administration reported that over 250,000 individuals traveled to Washington for the Saturday parade, which coincided with Trump’s 79th birthday and Flag Day. Thousands of protesters nationwide held “No Kings” demonstrations against the parade—and in certain cities, including Portland and Los Angeles, those protests escalated into violence.
“This witch was just a few votes away from becoming commander in chief. This is her view of our military. Man, @BuzzPatterson was correct. Hillary despises the troops,” conservative X commentator Benny Johnson remarked in response.
“Hillary Clinton has a strong disdain for the troops,” stated the assistant director of Florida’s Voice on X.
“Complete disregard for the 250th anniversary of the @USArmy,” remarked another critic.
“And we do not have queens. We have a duly elected president… which you will never be,” posted author and retired Air Force Lt. Col. Buzz Patterson on X.
“If the only achievement of @realDonaldTrump was preventing Hillary from becoming President, he would be the greatest American ever born,” another critic commented.
“What you did in Benghazi essentially demonstrates your lack of respect for our military. You should really refrain from commenting on this matter,” another user on X stated.
“We already commemorate a ‘No kings’ day, Hillary. It’s called July 4th, also known as Independence Day, when we rejected a monarchy. This reflects the quality of our public education system,” an account named Jewish MAGA expressed.
Additional critics targeted Clinton for restricting replies to her post, while others pointed out the difference between Trump organizing a military parade and Clinton spending the weekend in the Hamptons attending the wedding of her longtime aide, Huma Abedin, to Alex Soros, the son of left-wing billionaire donor George Soros.
“On one side, there were shootings and riots… On the other side, there were joyful people celebrating the 250th Army Anniversary… What is your point? By the way, how was the Democrat Royal Wedding of Alex Soros and Huma Abedin?” one critic posted on Sunday.
“How was the Soros wedding? Enjoying time with the liberal elite seems like a delightful way to spend No Kings Day!” another critic remarked.
Clinton was present at the Abedin–Soros wedding on Saturday, which featured other prominent Democrats, including former President Bill Clinton, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, former Vice President Kamala Harris — along with her husband Doug Emhoff — and Rep. Nancy Pelosi, according to The New York Times.
Other notable figures and prominent guests comprised Vogue’s Anna Wintour, socialite Nicky Hilton Rothschild, and Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, as reported by the outlet, referencing those in attendance.
“I am eager to witness their union; to partake in the celebration that we will all share; to see numerous long-time friends convened in one location to truly relish the beginning of Huma and Alex’s married life,” Hillary expressed to Vogue Magazine regarding the wedding in an article released on Saturday.
