Republican Tells Omar To Leave United States After She Defends Iran

Democrat Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar criticized President Donald Trump on Tuesday and expressed support for Iran by stating that “no one is attacking or has attacked Americans,” despite substantial evidence linking Iran to assaults on Americans over several decades.

Her remarks were made prior to the United States deploying “bunker buster” bombs on the country’s nuclear sites.

These statements were met with dismay by Republican Texas Representative Randy Weber, who simply remarked, “If it’s so bad here and you don’t like it, go to some other country. It’s just that simple,” during an appearance on “Just The News – Not Noise” on Real America’s Voice.

No one is attacking or has attacked Americans. It’s time to cease involving Americans in war and allowing Israel to once again draw America into their chosen conflict,” Omar posted on X. “Stand up for the Americans who believed you wanted peace and do not commit another generation of Americans to a costly war.”

However, Omar’s assertions do not align with the facts.

Iranian-backed proxies have conducted numerous attacks on U.S. forces in recent years, and the regime has even been accused of attempting to assassinate President Trump in 2024 through “murder-for-hire” schemes.

Iranian-backed militias also targeted U.S. military installations in Iraq following President Trump’s order to eliminate Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps commander Qassem Soleimani.

Furthermore, a 2019 report by Military Times indicates that Iran is accountable for the deaths of approximately 603 American service members in Iraq from 2003 to 2011.

Omar, a refugee from Somalia, perceives that the United States of America, the nation her family fled to, is becoming one of the worst countries globally, yet she opts to remain.

In a recent interview with Democracy Now, Omar highlighted that U.S. troops were dispatched to suppress protests in Los Angeles during the same week the Trump administration conducted a grand military parade to commemorate 250 years of the U.S. Army.

“In order to maintain a democracy, which serves as a symbol of hope for the globe, it is disheartening to witness its transformation into one of the, you know, most troubled nations, where military personnel patrol our streets with little regard for citizens’ constitutional rights. Meanwhile, our president is expending millions to bolster his image akin to a failed dictator through a military parade — it is truly shocking,” she remarked.

“This should serve as a wake-up call for all Americans to declare, ‘This is not the nation we were born into. It does not reflect our beliefs. This is not the vision our Founding Fathers had, nor is it the country that aligns with our Constitution, our ideals, and our values,’” the woman, who was not originally from the United States, stated.

“We must all unite in the streets, denouncing the events occurring this week,” she asserted.

“I believe the individual who is in the midst of dismantling our nation should take a moment to reflect, and that individual is Trump,” she continued. “He should recognize that he harbors animosity towards the values we uphold in America and everything we have constructed. The truth is that protest and dissent are constitutionally protected; they are the First Amendment rights of every individual in this country.”

She encountered immediate criticism on X for her remarks.

“The exaggeration here is shocking, compounded by her remarkable lack of gratitude,” stated Fox News contributor Guy Benson.

“If individuals are genuinely offended by a parade for the first time in decades, then perhaps they should step outside and reconnect with nature,” remarked OutKick contributor David Hookstead.

“We possess the finest military in the world, and we should never feel the need to apologize for it,” he added.
