Trump Fires Back With Blunt 6-Word Statement After Epstein Photos Resurface
Trump Addresses Resurfaced Epstein Images With a Direct Six-Word Reply
Former President Donald Trump brushed aside inquiries regarding recently discovered photos and video footage that connect him to Jeffrey Epstein, responding succinctly with six words: “You’ve got to be kidding me.”
The resurfaced visuals feature footage from a 1999 Victoria’s Secret event and a photograph from Trump’s 1993 wedding to Marla Maples, which confirms Epstein’s presence. Photographer Dafydd Jones, who documented the wedding, mentioned that he likely captured both Epstein and Trump in the same frame, although most negatives have been lost.
Trump has previously asserted that he had “no problem” with releasing documents related to Epstein. In February 2025, Attorney General Pamela Bondi made a partial set of files public. However, by July, Trump’s Department of Justice indicated that it found “no basis” for releasing additional information and claimed there was “no incriminating” client list.
This situation sparked public speculation that Trump was concealing information, particularly after his administration opted against further transparency. When questioned about the photos, Trump labeled the renewed attention as “fake news” and dismissed it.
White House Communications Director Steven Cheung defended Trump, describing the images as “out-of-context frame grabs” and asserting that they were being utilized maliciously to suggest wrongdoing.
Cheung highlighted that Trump ultimately prohibited Epstein from accessing his properties, referring to the late financier as “a jerk.” He accused the liberal media of perpetuating false narratives.
Although Trump and Epstein were seen together at various public events during the 1980s and ’90s, reports indicate that their relationship soured in the early 2000s due to a real estate deal in Palm Beach.
In spite of the ongoing controversy, Trump has expressed his intention to release grand jury files related to Epstein. Critics remain doubtful, while his supporters contend that the media coverage is driven by political motives.
As the 2024 campaign intensifies, Trump’s connections to Epstein are once again facing significant scrutiny.
