Woman, 20, found dead on bus with 26 iPhones taped to her body as disturbing theory emerges

A 20-year-old woman has sadly passed away during a long-distance bus journey from Foz do Iguaçu to São Paulo, Brazil. The incident occurred when she reportedly became unwell at a restaurant stop in Guarapuava, situated in the central region of Paraná.

She began to experience difficulties in breathing and was attended to by emergency medical personnel from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU). Shortly thereafter, she suffered a seizure and went into cardiac arrest. Despite attempts to revive her, she died on the bus.

What alarmed authorities the most was the revelation that the woman had 26 iPhones affixed to her body. The devices were confiscated and submitted to Brazil’s Federal Revenue Service as part of an ongoing investigation.

Her luggage was found to contain several bottles of alcohol, but no illegal narcotics were discovered. Authorities confirmed that she was traveling alone at the time of the incident.

While the official cause of death is still under investigation, initial reports indicate that her symptoms—breathing difficulties followed by a seizure and cardiac arrest—might be associated with the smuggling attempt. The excessive heat and weight of the phones could have played a role in her abrupt health decline.

Law enforcement officials state that the woman’s identity has not yet been disclosed, but preliminary information suggests she may have been involved in the smuggling of electronic goods. The Paraná Civil Police are awaiting final forensic reports to ascertain the precise cause of death.

The unusual circumstances surrounding this case have raised concerns, highlighting the extreme risks some individuals undertake when participating in illegal activities. The incident is being extensively covered by Brazilian media outlets, including Globo and Mirror.
